Received notice today from lawyer Nicole Sarauer that the Saskatchewan Workers’ Compensation Board had denied her pro bono client Carey Heilman’s request to be reimbursed for the cost of medical marijuana that he uses to help control debilitating back pain from a workplace injury.
I’ll have more on this issue once I’ve spoken with Sarauer and Heilman. For now, here’s a link to some background information on the case.
