Look, I have a T.V. I’m not going to be the snob that tells you I don’t have a T.V. when I actually just mean I only watch HBO on my MacBook. What I don’t have is cable of any kind, so I’m going to need to watch coverage of the American election somewhere. Barring an invitation from a friendly homeowner, this means I’ll probably be watching the returns at a bar somewhere.

I called up O’Hanlon’s and asked Eoin if they’d be showing the election there. “Sure!” he said. Sure? Apparently, that means if you ask nicely, they could set you up. That’s the kind of people they are. Problem with that is there’s live music there tonight, and you’ll want to hear the pundits at their most ridiculous.

I understand some students at the University of Regina are throwing a big to-do for the U.S. elections at the Owl. I assume someone will be encouraging you to use a hashtag.

My favourite option: Bonzzinni’s. They’re normally dedicated to sports and sports alone on all the big screens, but some booths each have their own little T.V. you can set the station on. I’m not sure what the volume situation is, since last time I tried this out we were watching silent movies on TCM. Still, it’s worth a shot.

If I’m missing an obvious solution, feel free to leave it in the comments.
