Kind of in the vein of Invasion of the Body Snatchers, this macabre rock ‘n’ roll musical, with book & lyrics by Howard Ashman and music by Alan Menken, debuted off-Broadway in 1982. It was inspired by a low-budget 1960 cult-classic by Roger Corman. Following the success of the musical, Little Shop of Horrors was made into a feature film in 1986 which starred Rick Moranis, Steve Martin, John Candy, Bill Murray.

This production of the musical is presented by Regina Summer Stage.  It runs at University Theatre, July 7-8 and 11-15 at 8 p.m., July 10 at 2 p.m. For more info visit www.reginasummerstage.com
