If you were in the habit of going to live shows in Regina in the first decade of the 21st century you were likely aware of an indie rock band called the Constantines. They formed in Guelph in 1999, and moved to Toronto in 2001. During the 10 years they were together they released four full-length albums and two EPs.
The band broke up after a 10th anniversary tour in 2009, but in February they announced plans to reunite for a few shows. Along with Steve Lambke, Doug MacGregor and Dallas Wehrle, Bry(an) Webb was a founding member of the Constantines. Since the band broke-up, he’s been busy with husband/father responsibilities, but he’s also found time to release two solo albums.
The first was Provider in 2011, and he followed that up with Free Will which was released on May 20. On Thursday, July 10 Webb and his solo band will be in town to play a show at the Exchange.
