Matt Mays has been a reasonably high profile artist on the Canadian music scene for over a decade now. Based in Nova Scotia, he first made his mark as a member of the country-rock band The Guthries. From there, he was front man for Matt Mays & El Torpedo. Now he’s performing under his own name in a band that includes ex-members of El Torpedo and The Guthries.
Touring in support of his latest album Coyote, Mays plays a show at the Exchange on Wednesday night. Opening for him will be the Charlottetown rock band The Meds. To get you primed, here’s the video for the first single off Mays’ new album “Take It On Faith”:
