Both the University of Regina Rams and University of Saskatchewan Huskies sit at 1-1 heading into this key match-up. With a home date against the Calgary Dinos, and a road game in Saskatoon against the Huskies facing the Rams in late October to close out the season, the team has a tough road ahead of them.
To avoid falling to 1-2 in advance of their road game next Friday against the UBC Thunderbirds (who upset the Huskies at Griffith Stadium last week), it’s imperative that the Rams find a way to beat their northern rival. If they can, they’ll stay in the thick of the playoff race. If they lose though, pre-season prognosticators who picked the team to finish sixth in the seven-team loop will start to look pretty good.
Game time at Mosaic Stadium is 7 p.m. Tix are Adult $17.50, Student $5, Kids $2.
Also tonight, the Regina Symphony Orchestra kicks off its 2010-11 Masterworks Series. Guest artist is pianist Ian Parker, and the program will include works by Chopin, Brahms and Adaskin. The concert is at Conexus Arts Centre at 8 p.m. For more info call 586-9555.
