Yukon Blonde w/ Library Voices

Nothing of significance happening in Regina today so I thought I’d incur the wrath of a certain segment of the local music community by pimping this show which goes down at Riddell Centre Multi-Purpose Room at the University of Regina on April 20.

It features Vancouver-based rockers Yukon Blonde (pictured) along with Regina’s own Library Voices. The two bands have been on a bit of a Canadian tour, the former in support of their latest CD Tiger Talk which Gillian Mahoney gave a four dog out of five rating in our March 22 issue (scroll down).

To give you a taste of what the gig will be like, here’s the video for “Water” off Yukon Blonde’s 2011 EP Fire/Water

  1. The significant Regina Symphony Orchestra sale of gently used books and music is ongoing at the Golden Mile. Saturday is the final day, and there will be reduced-price specials, so mark your calendars/devices.

  2. My daughter bought a gigantic pile of books at the RSO sale on Thursday. (Okay…. a few of them were my picks.) And it is indeed a fantastic way to stock up on reading material. Prices are brilliant (I don’t think we paid more than $2 for anything), selection is impressive and the books are in great shape.

  3. Thanks, Paul, for the testimonial! We enjoy having a discrete space for children’s and YA books, and it pays off in increased sales. As to good shape, we’re picky about what we accept, which also pays off. Happy dances all ’round!
