Got a press release into the office today from Darlene Hincks saying that as part of Saturday’s Easter Seal Drop Zone fundraiser on the F.W. Hill Mall city councillor Michael Fougere (pictured) will “repel” 22 stories down the west face of Hill Tower II.

If someone’s going to repel 22 whole stories, Fougere is the man to do it.
OOOPS.
It’s also “storeys” when referring to building floors, I believe.
So will a lot of other people, I bet. Other candidates should take not: Sensationalism sells.
Oh, P.S. I really hope the Fougere campaign makes a reality doc of the whole descent…commentary from Michael saying that while he was up there, battling cold, howling August winds, that he couldn’t take his mind off of the city’s least advantaged, and what he was going to do about them, should he live the 22-storey descent.
[Emotional Moment] “I guess it was around the 17th floor, maybe 16th…images of women at the Broadway Extra Foods, waiting for the bus, with bag and bags of generic no-name chips & pop, for the li’l ones…I almost…lost control. But, praise the lord, Jesus Christ almighty, amen…my mission returned clear as German paving stone brick – help the li’l ones, Michael, live another day, to help Regina’s li’l ones…” [Cut, alright that’s a wrap…Silver’s for steak & lobster 5 p.m. everyone.]
I’ rather like to see MF get trebuched to the top of HT2.
Well, nothing will “repel” me from being there. I love a good spectacle.
It seems that Councillor Fougere has been repelled in his attempt to rappelle down Hill Tower II by the gale force wind that Regina is currently experiencing.
