The Babadook

An Australian/Canada co-production, this horror film has been turning the heads (and straining the nerves) of critics and audiences alike since it was released earlier this year.

Directed by Jennifer Kent, it concerns a young widow, six years after her husband’s death, trying to rein in her “out-of-control” son who is haunted by nightmares that monster is trying to kill them.

The Babadook¬†screens at the RPL Theatre¬†Friday June 5 and Sunday June 7 at 9 p.m., Saturday June 6 at 7 p.m. Here’s the trailer
