Sun News Takes Down That Anti-Christian Bastard Steve Whitmore

This made my day. Watch and enjoy!

Here’s the post that made Sun News mad at me. And here’s the Bill Whatcott post they’re defending.

If Sun News, which can’t even get my name right, wants to stick up for Bill Whatcott — a rifle-toting, anti-choice, anti-same-sex marriage, anti-legal divorce extremist who says he has a history of drug use, marriage failure and criminal activity — let ’em. Whatcott’s moral pronouncements are spectacularly wrong-headed and harmful, and defending them hurts Sun News’ credibility.

Media (Whitmore vs Sun News)
I think they mean “persecution”…

Also, check out the apparently misplaced comment on this blog post that popped up today. Hilarious!

Hat tip to my friend Murdle, the Bill Whatcott fan who made all this happen.

  1. Neato. It appears they view “extremist fundamentalist” as “all Christianity,” since they took your phrase and expanded it to include an entire religion. Is that a tell?

  2. Getting the name of her subject wrong repeatedly, equating Whatcott’s flavour of Christianity with all Christianity, and mistakenly believing that “freedom of religion” means “freedom to express and enforce any views you want in public space as long as you say it comes from God”? Where do we start with how much critical thinking is not happening here?

Not getting the basic facts right is embarrassing enough, but for her to assume that all of Christianity was being attacked as some kind of fundamentalist extremism means that she’s doing little more than baiting for traffic. It’s journalistic trolling at some of its worst.

  3. “First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you and then you win”

I think Gandhi said that. Not that I’m trying to say that this Steve Whitmore guy is like Gandhi, because that would be crazy, but damn, when Sun News is attacking you you gotta know you’re getting something right.

    Keep it up Steve

  4. Oh my goodness!

The unknown lady commentator on Sun New Byline is a buffoon.
    Bill Whatcott is a buffoon.
And Stephen Whitworth (not Whitmore) is a buffoon too.
Face it. Buffoons thrive on one another.

  5. Good God. The way she trips over the Teleprompter is just embarrassing. When she goes off-card, she gets tongue-tied even worse. This is the kind of stuff that gives journalism its bad name.
