Someone’s Taming The Squirrels

Not only was I able to get within six feet of this little guy, we calmly regarded each other for a few minutes while I snapped some photos. SOMEone has been acclimating this squirrel to human contact. NO IT WAS NOT ME. I have enough pet responsibilities. I’m not going to start feeding peanuts to Regina squirrels. Besides, someone else obviously has that task covered.

  1. Squirrels are rad. I prefer red to grey. Unfortunately, grey ones are smarter and faster. It’s always beautiful red ones I see squashed on the street, often with their guts scattered all over Albert Street. Some people think it’s their divine right to destroy them.

  2. It was the people that trained the SQ’s to walk? on the power / telephone wires, out here in Dieppe Place.

  3. Oh man, squirrels are the best. I just wish they’d stay safe in the trees and grass instead of playing chicken (is it still called “chicken” if you’re a squirrel?) on the road.
