Thrash/death metal will be in the spotlight at Riddell Centre the Exchange on Friday Sept. 25 when Boston-based Revocation headlines a show that will also feature three other bands: Cannabis Corpse, Archspire and Black Fast.

Originally founded as Cryptic Warning in 2000,  the four-piece changed their name to Revocation in 2006. The band has five studio albums to their credit, the most recent being Deathless in 2014. In June, the band apparently switched drummers, with Ash Pearson (ex. of 3 Inches of Blood) the new person behind the kit.

As far as the back-up acts go, Cannabis Corpse shouldn’t be confused with veteran metal-meisters Cannibal Corpse. Instead, they’re a marijuana-themed metal band out of Richmond, Virginia that’s been together since 2006.

Again, the show goes on Friday. And to give you a sense of what to expect, here’s a 2014 video for Revocation’s tune “Invidious”
