R.I.P., Harold Ramis

The star of Ghostbusters, Stripes  and other classics has passed away at age 69. Too young. Rest in piece, Egon.

H/T to Dr. R.G. Penner for the SCTV clip

Author: Stephen Whitworth

Prairie Dog editor Stephen Whitworth was carried to Regina in a swarm of bees. He's been with Prairie Dog since May 1999 and will die at his keyboard before admitting his career a terrible, terrible mistake.

  1. If you grew up with Ghostbusters, and you haven’t seen the painting of Harold Ramis and Slimer walking away, you really need to. It’s sad and sweet and perfect.

  2. I swear I’ve heard that line as “Print is a dead medium.”, and much more deadpan and disinterested, rather than outright hostile as in this clip. Ramis always had a knack for being funny with subtlety, which served as a great foil to the outright clownishness of Murray.
