… because Regina’s Tatiana Maslany (General Fools) plays the virgin mother of Jesus in The Nativity, which begins at 8 p.m. on CBC Television. It’s a British Broadcasting Corporation production. I interviewed her for prairie dog a couple of years ago, just before she headed overseas for filming. Dunno if that interview is on line, but here’s her interview with the BBC. (BBC)
UPDATE: here’s the interview I did with Maslany last year. (Prairie Dog)

I hope it’s not too late to withdraw the lawsuit.
Against Tatiana? I’m sure she’s forgiven you by now …
What the hell? Mocking of the Christian Christmas story? No one told me that was customary. Was that covered in some writers’ meeting I missed? Because I’ve never mocked the Christmas story. Have I? I think I said once the Little Drummer Boy should really take up guitar if he wants to impress because nobody likes drummers. Not even babies. But that wasn’t mocking. It was more snide. Goddamn Little Drummer Boy.
Least favourite Christmas song, even if Bing Crosby and David Bowie did it.
