Wintersun is a heavy metal band out of Finland. They’ve been around since 2003, and for much of their existence they’ve been embroiled in a prolonged odyssey to produce a double album called Time I and Time II. The project’s experienced repeated delays over the years, and the first part wasn’t actually released until October 2012. Mixing for the second album is currently underway and it is supposed to be released early in 2014.
Tonight Wintersun are in town to play a concert at Riddell Centre (doors at 6:30 p.m., tickets $25). Also on the bill are Fleshgod Apocalypse, Arsis and Starkill. To get you pumped for tonight’s show here’s some video of Wintersun in the studio during the recording of their double album project:
