As I noted in the 14 Days Top Six in our July 26 print issue, this is a reboot of a festival that ran for a few years in Wascana Centre. As the name implies, it’s a celebration of Latino culture — specifically, music, dancing, food abd fashion. Previously, the festival was located on the lawn north-west of the Legislature. But according to information I have the location has been switched to the park behind the Royal Sask. Museum. Tickets are listed as $10 advance for adults, $5 for children, and $25 for a family pass. Gates should open around 11 a.m. on Saturday, and the event will run until 9 p.m. or so.
To get you in the mood, here’s video some pretty sweet salsa dancers:
That looks fun. How does an event get to be pick of the day? I have the perfect pick for August 2… at McNally’s… to help Creative Kids…
What it usually requires is an unmarked envelope stuffed with five $20 dollar bills which I will then spirit out of the country and deposit in a secret Swiss bank account with the aim of accumulating a multi-billion dollar fortune that will enable me to hobnob with the likes of Paris Hilton, Bill Gates and Rupert Murdoch.
