Curated by Wendy Peart, this exhibition features ten Canadian artists who have a history of using fabric in their practice. The twist here is that, as the show’s title indicates, the artists are using thread and other types of filaments to mark-make, create objects and bind things together. Through that process, they explore issues related to domesticity, gender, manual labour and┬áconfinement and containment.

Names that might be familiar to Regina audiences include Martha Cole, Sheila Nourse, Judy McNaughton and Christopher Campbell Gardiner.

Thread — Bound runs at the Art Gallery of Regina until Oct. 16.
