Directed by Lasse Hallstrom (My Life as a Dog), with a screenplay by Simon Beaufoy (Slumdog Millionaire), this film stars Ewan McGregor as a British fisheries expert who is recruited by a wealthy sheik who has a dream of bringing salmon fishing to his desert country.

Pick of the day should have been the Walt Stillman film – Damsels in Distress. He is a sort of American Eric Rohmer, with shades of Woody Allen, and an underlying Jane Austen.
But I do look forward to Salmon Fishing in Yeman!
