Pick of the Day: Safety Not Guaranteed

As devoted readers of prairie dog will know, we’re big fans of the Seattle alt-paper The Stranger. Based in a thriving liberal west coast city with a metro population of over three million, they have the luxury of doing stuff that we can only dream of.

I mention this now because this film, which screens at the RPL Theatre tonight at 9 p.m. and Sunday at 7 p.m., is set in¬†Seattle. What’s more, the plot actually revolves around three journalists at an alt-magazine who notice a classified ad in the paper one day from someone seeking an assistant to¬†travel back in time with him and they decide to do a story on the person and their project. Here’s the trailer:

Author: Gregory Beatty

Greg Beatty is a crime-fighting shapeshifter who hatched from a mutagenic egg many decades ago. He likes sunny days, puppies and antique shoes. His favourite colour is not visible to your inferior human eyes. He refuses to write a bio for this website and if that means Whitworth writes one for him, so be it.

  1. Saw this last night, and it actually works as a film. I might be a bit biased, though, as I only went to go see it so I could stare at the lovely Ms. Plaza.

  2. Fuck I dislike traiers.
( not pissing on anyone, except those that think trailers are great for yer movie ).

If I can watch a bit of the : start/middle/ending in 60 seconds or less, and get the outcome of “the visual ride”,.. Why would anyone bother going to the theatre projecting the DVD’s?

The theatre in the park showed Batman in a special camera edition.
That was so much,( read NO contest ), better viewing than any form of TV.
