Pick Of The Day: Five Finger Death Punch

Based in Los Angeles, this hard rock/metal band drew initial inspiration for its name from martial arts films. They’ve got four full-length albums to their credit, with the most recent (The Wrong Side of Heaven and the Righteous Side of Hell) being released on July 30.¬†It’s intended to be the first part of a double album, with the second part due out later this year.

Tonight Five Finger Death Punch is in town to play a show at Brandt Centre. Also on the bill are Escape the Fate, Miss May I and Gemini Syndrome. The show should get going at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are between $39.75 and $60.25.

To give you a sense of what FFDP is like here’s the video for the first single off its latest album “Lift Me Up” which features a guest appearance by Rob Halford of Judas Priest:

Author: Gregory Beatty

Greg Beatty is a crime-fighting shapeshifter who hatched from a mutagenic egg many decades ago. He likes sunny days, puppies and antique shoes. His favourite colour is not visible to your puny human eyes. He refuses to write a bio for this website and if that means Whitworth writes one for him, so be it.

  1. I recently saw that band name on the Fox Theatre marquee in Detroit and almost took a picture cuz I thought it was a joke, or satirical violence movie. And now they’re here!
