Touring in support of their album Oooh La La which was released in May, these veteran Winnipeg-based pop rockers stop by the Exchange tonight. Doors are at 8 p.m., and tix are $25 adv. and $30 door.
For a bit of a blast from the past, and with Hallowe’en approaching, here’s the Dummies doing a cover of XTC’s “The Ballad of Peter Pumpkinhead” off the soundtrack for Dumb & Dumber (1995).
Also on tonight, local hard rockers She Kills Me is at O’Hanlon’s Pub with Hours.
Dear Douglas Coupland, CBC, and the U of R:
I would love to come see you. Adult tix are just $20.25, but Admission.com is charging $5.75 service fee and a $3 ransom just to pick the tickets up at the box office, for a total of $29. What would you have to say about that?
Are the Massey Lectures such a “valuable cultural experience,” like that job I held for a few weeks this summer crammed into a children-sized desk at a very mature computer, listening to old lady bickering non-stop, that I should happily shell an additional $9 in bogus charges?
Sorry, but screw that, I think not. You’re waaay out of touch with the kids on the street today.
Crash Test Dummies, ahh, maybe.
