No Fracking Talk Allowed

From the Guardian:

Two young children in Pennsylvania were banned from talking about fracking for the rest of their lives under a gag order imposed under a settlement reached by their parents with a leading oil and gas company.

No word on whether the kids, seven and ten years old at the time, are required to give up first born children as part of the deal, too.

  1. Just give up their First Amendment right?

And I don’t think this order can last. Once they reach the age of Majority they won’t be bound by a deal their parents made.

  2. Seeing no legal way to enforce this over the long haul. No ethical way to do so either.

    Chilling in any case.

  3. Legal enforcement is easy. You sue the kid and parents when they talk. Bigger concern is the ethics and morality of it.
