Day two of the Regina Folk Festival starts at 11:30 a.m. with a number of great free daytime workshops and concerts before the main stage gets going at 6 p.m. in Victoria Park.

Opportunities to check out live music in Regina won’t end once the festival does on Sunday, of course. Case in point is a show by Nick Faye that goes at O’Hanlon’s Pub on Tuesday, Aug. 12. It’s being billed as a tour kick-off party for Faye, who released his latest album with his backing band the Deputies in June.

The seven-track album is called Worry, and to promote it Faye is embarking on a cross-Canada tour. In eastern Canada he’ll be touring with Danny Oliver, while in western Canada Megan Nash will be the support act.

It’s a Tuesday night show at O’Hanlon’s, so things should get going around 10 p.m. or so. To give you a brief taste of Faye’s talent, here’s a teaser trailer for Worry that was released in May:
