  1. I spent a late night 6 months ago on YouTube finding all sorts of cool old community spirit promos from the 50s and 60s about Regina, even old CJME commercials, but now all I can find is a trippy ad promoting (I think) a Chilliwack show in 1980, and a bunch of seriously dull as sh*t recent crap that just makes me sad.

  2. I miss that old South Railway av, Paint co. sign. Torn down like every other “old” piece of art.

  3. Bill Whatcot made the Daily Show? Must have been a slow news summer, or non-election year.

I can just see a guy from Regina, on a blind date with someone from a place where they’ve never heard of Regina, using that as his big ice-breaker:

Guy: “Yeah, I’m from Regina, it was on the Jon Stewart show once. Yeah, Jon profiled our freakshow formerly-gay anti-abortion, anti-homosexual-lifestyle activist…it was awesome.”

    Girl: “Cheque, please.”

  4. That was also the year the anti-spandex law came in. We were on Montel Williams for that.
