Misogyny, Stupidity And Tyranny In New Hampshire

The state’s executive council has massacred Planned Parenthood. I hope people in New Hampshire who aren’t crazy can find a way to win this fight. From Jezebel:

The New Hampshire Executive Council has voted to cancel the state’s contract with Planned Parenthood, rejecting up to $1.8 million in state funding — “about 20 percent of its total annual funding” — and has also “stripped its authority to dispense low-cost birth control and antibiotics to uninsured patients.”

And now the the usual Whitworthian bleating:  being personally anti-abortion is acceptable (hey, that’s what choice means!) but anyone who thinks their personal anti-abortion beliefs should be forced, directly or, like here, indirectly, on the rest of us is a jerk who’s unfit for for public office. I’m looking at you, Brad Trost, and every single bum in your Saskatoon-Dumbolt riding who voted for you.

  1. Great story, bro! Speaking of misogyny, stupidity and tyranny, could you post the link to your indignant response to the Toronto Public School Board’s decision to allow Muslim prayer in school. Oh, and then remind me of the witty caption you wrote for the picture shamefully displaying the males separated from the females, and then the females further separated from the other females who are menstruating. Oh, and weren’t these kids in grade 8? Man, that was awful.

I’m really glad you guys had the courage to speak up against that. When I think cutting-edge, enlightened and progressive journalism, I think of prairie dog. Great work guys! BTW, what % of posts on the dog blog are by females?

  2. Everyone including Trost has a right to his or her opinion. Who are you to determine the fitness of public office. As much as I dislike you Whitworth and that is a lot I will protect the right to your opinion. Why not give Trost the same respect.

  3. It is acceptable to be personally opposed to abortion. That’s what choice means. The ideas Brad Trost promotes cause harm and restrict women’s freedom. Frankly, anyone actively working to strip women of their legal right to end a pregnancy are either mentally ill, stupid, misogynistic or all of the above. Don’t agree? Fair enough, you have a legal right to be a bad human being. End of story.

There are many topics where people can disagree without anyone being a jerk. Abortion rights aren’t one of them.

Finally, a staggering number of people ARE fond of me so I can make do without your affection, Mr. Mouland.

  4. I am actually pro-choice Whitworth. I do not agree with the stance of Mr.Trost.However he has a right to his opinion. You might read the comment before going into some little ego trip.
