Metric Coming To Regina

Toronto’s Metric will be capping off a long international tour with a series of dates in Canada. That includes us folks in Regina! They’re coming to the Brandt Centre on November 16.

The band released their fifth album, Synthetica, this year. prairie dog‘s Aidan Morgan loved the album, if the review is any indication:

After ten years of making music, Metric have polished their sound into an impossibly smooth surface: washes of John Carpenteresque synth over precise percussion and chiming guitars, dominated by Haines’ vocals.

The opening act will be Stars who you might remember are headlining Saturday night of this year’s Regina Folk Festival.

  1. Yay, November 16th! Brandt Centre a weird choice and they won’t fill it, but whatevs.

  2. I have to go to this! Love their new album, and a new Stars album will have hit stores by then. Sweet!

Pleased that they’re coming here and not Saskatoon.
