Looking For Details On The Occupy Regina Eviction?

Charles talked about it earlier, but the Regina Police Service has dropped some more details on their Twitter feed. Here are the last three updates as of this writing:

5 males and 2 females were issued summons under the Regina Parks and Open Space Bylaw 2004-27, for remaining in a park between 11pm and 6am.

Those who received tickets were at the site of the Occupy Regina protest. One male was arrested on a breach unrelated to the bylaw.

The 46 year-old male is charged with Breach of Recognizance. He appeared in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2011.

According to the Leader-Post, the police came around at 11:30 p.m. Still a lot of details to come.

  1. The LP is at least 12 minutes off. They arrived just prior to 11:20. It would have been nice if the City were more proud of their surprise ticketing and notified the media as to when they were moving against peaceful protesters. Fortunately, I was there to film the event, and almost got caught up in a ticketing frenzy.
