LFL Recap

Here’s a couple of photos from last night’s LFL game at Brandt Centre. According to a press release issued by the league, the Regina Rage came from behind to defeat the Toronto Triumph 40-32 in front of a “charged up crowd”.  No attendance figures were given, but the release does quote Brandt Centre’s Director of Events and Entertainment Brenda McIntosh as saying “I have not seen that kind of energy in this building for years”.

The top photo shows hometown star Kylie Rossler breaking free from Toronto Triumph tacklers, perhaps on her way to scoring one of the two touchdowns she notched on the night. The second photo depicts a meet and greet that was held afterwards with players and fans which the LFL publicity guy described as “Beatles-like” in its intensity.

  1. Man, two blog posts on the LFL in two days. One might get the idea that Greg is especially fond of writing about attractive women in their underwear.

But wait! Who will write about the sexy men? We can’t have one sex objectified and not the other! Which heroic Dog Blogger will step up?

Also, is that a LaRose I see in the second photo, holding up a red camera? It is!

Of course, he’s there on assignment, as they say.

  2. #2 Aren’t you one of the “they” SW?

#1 I guesstimate there were maybe 50 fefans there.

    I won’t go a 2nd time.

  3. 2. Yes, that’s me in the photo. The photo I took while inadvertently posing for this one can be seen in my blog posting on this event, a couple of posts up.

  4. I own a brand new holistic health studio in the Midwest.
Believe that or not, I don’t possess a webpage still. The problem is I’m not
certain whether to choose Blogger or Squidoo.

I know that I want far more of a blog feel than a web site feel, if that makes any sense.
I need to be able to update my web site with weblog posts. Would you be capable of give a couple of benefits and drawbacks for
going with either Blogger or Live journal? I seriously need to come to a selection pretty swiftly
on this matter, because it does not make sense for me
to own this studio without a internet site. It would be kind if you
can provide me some assistance. Please write to: betty_pak@yepmail.
net if you have some time left. Thanks, and by the way wonderful blog,
i want my blog to be like yours one day!

  5. It is really strange, i was on your site just 15 minutes ago, when my browser was freezing, did you added some new plugins or anything else which could cause
such a behaviour? I visit your site pretty regulary and never
    had that before!

  6. Hi! I’m preparing to start a new site. I’m a little familiar
using Dreamweaver, but that’s about it. Will that be enough, or will I also need to know Html code and CSS? I wouldn’t like to make things too challenging for myself.
So if everything else fails, I might simply go with
a template and work from there. Any tips would be appreciated.

  7. I’m seriously getting sick and tired of the many trackback spam that my site is getting. There’s a squillion plug ins it seems, and I have no
clue which one would be good for this, or even if I’ve come across all of the plugins that will help me get rid of this. So quick question – what plugin would you recommend to get rid of trackback spam? I nonetheless wish to get comments, but this other stuff is driving me crazy.

  8. That is somewhat Offtopic, but i thought you could possibly
give me some advice. With regards to registering and hosting a domain name, I have no idea what I ought to do.
    A. Do I Need To register and host at the same place?
Or B. Should I register my domain name with one company
and host it with another? I would would rather do A,
but therein lies my issue. I want to register my domain name with NameCheap,
because I like their rates. On the other hand, I’d rather not host my site with them. What would be your personal preference?

  9. Howdy just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The words in your article seem to be running off
the screen in Opera. I’m not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with web browser compatibility but I figured I’d post to let
you know. The style and design look great though!
Hope you get the issue resolved soon. Many thanks
