“How To Hack”

That’s one of the internet searches prosecutors say Joseph Roque made. He probably would’ve been better served had he searched “how not to hack”. Or, you know, had he not tried to hack anything all.

Joseph’s in trouble with the law after he hacked and shut down a website seeking to recall his father, Felix Roque, from his office as mayor of West New York, New Jersey.

Felix is in hot water, too, and seems like a gem of an individual besides. From the New York Times story:

“A friend of mine, he works in the — I can’t tell you — three letters: C.I.A.,” he told one, according to a conversation recorded by law enforcement officials. “You know, that’s how I get information. So, what I’m doing is not very kosher.”

  1. If an internet search is the major evidence I doubt it will hold much weight against Joseph. Just think of it that you want to learn about the topic when you are doing a little research as a reporter or even want to learn how to make a website secured from hacking.
