Fiver is a solo project by Toronto-based singer-songwriter Simone Schmidt. Schmidt’s got past experience fronting two other groups: the country outfit One Hundred Dollar Bill and the psychedelic country band The Highest Order. In January she released her debut solo album Lost the Plot, and Saturday night she’s in town to play a show at the German Club.

Joining her on the bill will be local singer-songwriter BD Willoughby along with Will Kidman (ex of the Constantines). To give you a sense of what to expect, here’s the video for the second single off Schmidt’s album — a song called “Dayton”:
