Federal Debate! Fight! Fight!

UPDATE: Shields decided to show up to the forum! Good on him.

The University of Regina Students’ Union is hosting a debate for federal candidates of the Wascana riding. Look out for Liberal incumbent Ralph Goodale, NDP candidate Marc Spooner, and Green Party candidate Bill Clary to duke out about the issues. Ian Shields is continuing in the great Conservative tradition of being “unable to attend” such an event at the U of R, as it was last time, too.

The event is tomorrow, April 5, at 12:30 p.m. in the Riddell Centre Multi-Purpose Room. For more information, check here.

  1. Boo! Hiss! What do you think the Con candidates do instead of coming to this debate? Are they holding SoCal Nixon-era $100 plate luncheons at wealthy supporters’ homes??? Where everyone is groovy and hip to be square, just getting over all that ’60s excess?

  2. Perhaps he is at home, attending to his corns. They do get quite painful, you know.

  3. I don’t know why they wouldn’t even bother to show up at this. It’s not like they have been winning in this riding the last couple years, they should be trying to sway votes. It’s just dumb.
