Emaline Delapaix

The 45th Regina Folk Festival kicks off in Victoria Park tonight at 6 p.m. But if you’re looking to start filling up your musical calendar for next week, there’s a show by this Australian-born singer-songwriter at Creative City Centre on Tuesday Aug. 12 (doors at 7:30 p.m., tickets $10.)

In addition to Australia, Delapaix has spent time in Toronto and Berlin in recent years. Stylistically, she’s been compared to Tori Amos and Kate Bush.  On this trip through Canada she’s sharing the stage with opening act Lukas Creswell-Rost who is England-born and currently based in Berlin.
