Formed in Laramie, Wyoming in 2001, Teenage Bottlerocket are a punk type band fronted by twin brothers Ray and Brandon Carlisle.

Did they derive inspiration for their name from Wes Anderson’s 1996 crime flick Bottle Rocket, you ask? If I was a betting man, I’d suspect yes. But I do know that with the release of Tales From Wyoming earlier this year, they’ve got six full-length albums to their credit, and on Thursday June 11 they’ll be in town to perform a show at McNally’s Tavern.

The back-up band is called Copyright, and tickets are $12.50. To give you a sense of what to expect, here’s the video for Teenage Bottlerocket’s latest single “Haunted House”
