They’re not appearing on the same bill, but they are appearing in the same venue on consecutive nights.

First up is veteran multi-instrumentalist Harry Manx. Born on the Isle of Man in 1955, Manx has resided on Salt Spring Island in B.C. since 2000. A master of numerous stringed instruments in the guitar/banjo family, he’s got over a dozen albums to his credit, and offers up a mix of folk, blues and classical Hindustani music.

On Friday May 8, Manx will be in town to play a show at the Exchange. Doors are at 7:30 p.m., with the show at 8:30 p.m., and tickets are $35.

The next night, Connie Kaldor will be take the stage at the Exchange. Born in Regina, Kaldor has worked as a musician for over three decades now. She’s done some writing/performing for children, but the bulk of her catalogue is geared to adults.

On Saturday, she’ll be backed up by Annette Campagne who’s a familiar name in the Fransaskois  community. The show should get going around 8 p.m., and tickets are $32.

To close, here’s Manx doing a cover of the Bruce Springsteen tune “I’m On Fire”
