Usually, these types of Regina Symphony Orchestra concerts are designed to introduce young minds (and ears) to classical music. For most kids (and adults) that should still be the case with this show, goes Saturday, March 14 at Knox Metropolitan Church at 3 p.m.

But if you (or your off-spring) suffer from coulrophobia, you may want to think twice about attending. That’s because the program that is being performed is called A Clown’s Guide to the Orchestra. Guest “clownductor” for the concert is Melvin Tix, and he’ll showcase all the different instruments in a typical orchestra while also entertaining the audience with funny stories and, judging from some images I dug up of him on the Internet, balloon animals.

Again, the concert goes Saturday at 3 p.m. at Knox Met Church. You can find out more on the RSO website.
