The Snake Oil Salesmen are a blues/country/rock trio made up of Shane Bellegarde, Danny Blondeau and Sterling Brass. All three men grew up on First Nations and small towns in southern Saskatchewan and now call Regina home. They’ve been together as a band since 2011 and have a recording or two to their credit. Waylon Jennings, Neil Young and Steve Earle are three of their musical influences.
Saturday, Feb. 7 they’re playing a free show at Lancaster Taphouse in southwest Regina. The show should get going around 9 p.m., and to give you a sense of what to expect here’s the Snake Oil Salesmen performing “Take Your Time” with Val Halla sitting in on drums:
