Guest artist for this Regina Symphony Orchestra Masterworks concert at Conexus Arts Centre is Belgian violinist Mark Bouchkov.  He’s only 23, and will be making his performing debut in Saskatchewan, and it sounds like he’s a rising talent in the classical music world.

Featured on the program are works by Berlioz (Corsaire Overture), Sibelius (Violin Concerto) and Brahms (Symphony No. 3). I’m not sure what the concert title A Hero’s Symphony has to do with the the three compositions on the program exactly, but that’s something that will perhaps be explained by the maestro during the course of the evening.
