The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced this morning that QB Darian Durant suffered a torn tendon in the elbow of his throwing arm in the game against Winnipeg on Sunday. He’s been placed on the six-game injury list, and will undergo surgery. That means he is out for the rest of the season.
Back-up Tino Sunseri will start for the Riders against the Tiger Cats in Hamilton on Sunday. Rookie Seth Doege will back Sunseri up, and the team will likely be looking to add another QB with CFL experience to guard against any further depletion at the QB position.
