After poking fun at Grease II and 3 Ninjas Kick Back in previous installments of Talkies host Jayden Pfeifer tackles another cinematic classic: the 2002 road trip movie Crossroads which stars Dan Akyroyd, Kim Cattrall, Zoe Saldana and Ms. “Oops I Did It Again” herself Britney Spears. It’s kind of a coming of age movie, I gather, in which three girls who went to high school together in Georgia hit the road in a 1969 Buick Skylark for some reason or another.
The screening goes tonight at the RPL Theatre at 7 p.m. 9 p.m., and it’s free with a donation to the food bank. To give you a sense of what comedic delights await here’s the trailer:
