Directed by Tom Beringer, who happens to be the younger brother of the lead singer of one of the most popular indie rock bands around, Brooklyn-based The National, this documentary opens with the band about to embark on a huge tour following the release of their 2010 album High Violet.

The focus isn’t so much on Matt Beringer and his bandmates though as it is on Tom and his relationship with his older brother. A head-banger with aspirations of making horror films, Tom is nine years younger than Matt, and has yet to find his feet as an adult, especially in comparison to the wild success Matt has enjoyed.

Mistaken For Strangers screens at the RPL Theatre tonight at 9 p.m. and Sunday at 7 p.m. Here’s the trailer:
