No, that’s not a typo in the title. That’s actually the way this wildly popular South Korean girl group spells its name. They’re apparently on a bit of a marathon tour that will see them hit O’Hanlon’s Pub tonight for a … what’s that? Oh… really? Okay.
Turns out that the band that’s hitting O’Hanlon’s tonight is called BESTiE. And they’re not from South Korea, they’re from Vancouver. And they’re not four cute young women, they’re four dudes who describe their musical influences thusly: summer, ice cream, the beach, girls, floating down a river in an inner tube, high fives and heart break.
Local dance-rockers Robot Hive are backing them up. So all in all, not a bad double bill.
Hard rocking locals Black Thunder are gigging at the SCES Club tonight too. Assuming start times are staggered a bit, you could probably catch both shows if you put your mind to it.
