The Ottawa-based singer-songwriter is touring in support of his latest album Someday, the Moon Will Be Gold which was released on Feb. 18. According to news reports, the 23-year old Mattson spent a fair bit of time in his home town of Sault Ste. Marie when he was writing the album.  The topic is equally personal to him since a major theme of the album concerns the recent death of his grandmother, and the passing five years ago of his mother.
