Featured performers for tonight’s concert are the Amati Quartet. They’re based out of Saskatoon and are affiliated with the University of Saskatchewan. The quartet consist of Marla Cole and Rudolph Sternadel (violin),  Geoff Cole (viola) and Terrence Sturge (cello). What makes the quartet especially noteworthy is that, as their name indicates, they each play an instrument crafted by the Amanti family who were prominent in Italy over a four-generation period in the 16th and 17th centuries. Tonight’s performance by the Amanti Quartet is at Knox Metropolitan Church at 7:30 p.m. I believe admission is by donation. The program includes works by Haydn, Mozart and Dvorak.
