Saskatchewan born comic Brent Butt is appearing at the Casino Regina Show Lounge tonight and Saturday night (laughs at 8 p.m., tickets $30 and $35). The tour is subtitled the “Almost a Movie Star”. That’s a reference to a feature film written and produced by Butt that debuted at the Whistler Film Fest in December.
The film was shot in B.C. and is called No Clue. It’s a comedic homage to film noir with Butt playing the role of a klutz who tries to pass himself off as hard-boiled dick to impress a dame played by Amy Smart. Here’s the trailer:
