There’s probably a detailed list kicking around somewhere, but I couldn’t find it on the Creative Saskatchewan website. All it seems to contain at present is details on how to apply for grants in various categories tied to travel, marketing, business capacity and more.

Anyway, after officially being launched in October, Creative Saskatchewan announced its first round of grant recipients yesterday. The agency has an annual budget of $5 million, and this round saw $2 million disbursed to 62 projects. Receiving the biggest grant were the producers of Wolf Cop, who got $250,000 toward the production of the feature film they’re producing after emerging victorious in the CineCoup contest last summer.

SaskMusic received $123,000 to expand marketing opportunities for Saskatchewan musicians, while the Saskatchewan Craft Council received $107,000 to do the same for the province’s artisans and craftspeople. Another $99,000 went to the producers of a documentary on curling called Hurry Hard.

You can find out more on the grants that were awarded in these Leader-Post  and CBC reports — the latter of which has some info on a $15,000 grant a Regina company got to develop an app inspired by the Vulcan lute that Spock played on occasion in Star Trek.
