This event is being co-hosted by the MacKenzie Art Gallery and Vertigo Series. The latter is a spoken word event with a musical guest that typically goes once a month at Crave Restaurant in downtown Regina. But tomorrow night the setting is the MacKenzie, so in addition to spoken word (courtesy of Neilson, BC poet Magpie Ulysses, and an open mike) and music (courtesy James Lamb) people will have the opportunity to check out all the visual art that’s on display — including 7: Professional Indian Native Artists Inc.
Thursday Night Live! will get going at 7:30 p.m. And to give you taste of the feature poet here’s video from last year of Magpie Ulysses performing her poem “Reckoning Winter”:
