This show was initially on the Grassroots Regina calendar but it apparently no longer is. What is happening at the Exchange tonight is Kicked Out. It’s a fundraiser for a new indoor skate park in Regina to replace the one that was demolished as part of site preparation for the new football stadium at Evraz Place. The event features custom shoe art, a silent auction, and performances by Digital Doomzday, Bats Out, Circle and Revolution. Doors are at 8 p.m. and advance tickets were listed at $20.
Based in Calgary, T. Buckley performs country roots music with upright bass player Derek Pulliam and guitarist Tim Leacock. I don’t know if there’s a family connection, but Buckley shares the same first and last name with the late American folk-singer Tim Buckley (1947-75).
Tonight T. Buckley is in town to play a show at the SCES Club that’s being presented by Grassroots Regina. The show should get going at 8:30 p.m. and tickets are $15.
To close here’s video from last year of Buckley and his band performing a cover of the song “A Thousand Times”:
