Born in Scotland in 1954, David Francey immigrated with his family to Canada when he was 12. After working for a time as a carpenter, Francey made the switch to folk music, releasing his first album Torn Screen Door in 1999. With the release of 2013’s So Say We All he now has ten albums to his credit, and has also chalked up a number of Juno and Canadian Folk Music nominations and awards.
Wednesday night he’s in town to play a show at the Exchange that’s being presented by Grassroots Regina. The show should get going at 8 p.m., and tickets are $20 advance and $25 at the door.
