In other pedestrian-realm related news, water’s been burbling up from a water main break on the west sidewalk of 18 block Hamilton St. for close to a week now, if not longer (picture above).
And while some design work has been done by Harvard and the City, an upgrade and renovation to the east side breezeway on the Scarth St. Mall that was scheduled to be done by the second quarter of 2013 has yet to get going. Hopefully something will be done before winter sets in because last year the worn out floor, which slopes dramatically in spots, proved treacherous — especially when it was wet from people tracking in snow.
