I don’t know if you noticed, but in the Homes feature in last Saturday’s Leader-Post there was an article about a Victoria, B.C. couple who lived in a spacious (to say the least) 9200 sq. ft home. It was titled “Couple Finding Comfort In Hotel-Like Home Setting”, and talked about how they liked entertaining and whatnot.
At the same time, this photo essay from February about the insanely cramped and squalid slum conditions that some people exist in in Hong Kong popped up on my Facebook News feed (for a second time, as I’d seen it before). The contrast was certainly striking.
